The Centre for Interdisciplinary Design and Innovation at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology powered by Dassault Systemes was opened by Mr. Sudarshan Mogasale, CEO, Dassault Systemes Solutions Lab and Mr. Pradosh Mohanty, Plant Head, Tata Motors, Dharwad in the presence of Shri. Anant Mandgi, President, KLS.

Shri Rajendra Belgaumkar, Chairman of the Governing Council at KLS GIT, welcomed the distinguished gathering.
Dr. M. S. Patil, Principal of KLS GIT, highlighted the various Centres of Excellence (CoEs) at the institute. He also outlined the two-year plan for CIDI, detailing its establishment and collaborative utilization with industries and reputed institutes. “Team Sarathi,” a mentorship group comprising faculty, students, and alumni to support CIDI trainees, was introduced.
Dr. H. B. Kulkarni, HOD of Mechanical Engineering, elaborated on certification courses and electives that are offered through the CoEs, emphasizing their top-notch facilities for students, faculty, and industry partners.
Dr. Lokmanya Chickmath, Professor of Aeronautical Engineering, showcased projects by students and faculty of various engineering branches that were executed using Dassault Systemes software such as CATIA and 3DExperience.
Eminent industry representatives from companies like Tata Motors, Aequs, Polyhydron, Orion Hydraulics, SF Group, KPTCL etc. graced the event. The alumnus of KLS GIT working at Dassault Systemes were also present.
Chief Guest Shri Sudarshan Mogasale, CEO of Dassault Systemes Solutions Lab, addressed the audience, expressing pride in the collaboration with CIDI and noting the presence of over 25 KLS GIT alumni at Dassault Systemes. He highlighted the extensive opportunities available to current students and the significance of multidisciplinary projects, describing CIDI as the cornerstone of all CoEs. He also discussed the evolution of Artificial Intelligence in CAD developments.
Guest of Honour Shri Pradosh Mohanty, Plant Head at Tata Motors in Dharwad, briefed the audience on Tata Motors and encouraged faculty and students to harness the potential of CIDI.
Shri Anant Mandgi, President of Karnatak Law Society, delivered his presidential remarks, emphasizing the uniqueness of CIDI in North Karnataka. He also noted the potential benefits of simulation in engineering, and scientific applications.
Prof. Satish Hukkeri, Training and Placement Officer at KLS GIT, delivered the vote of thanks.
