The Department of Civil Engineering at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology (GIT), Belagavi, has submitted a comprehensive report to the Commissioner of Belagavi addressing the alarming rise in accidents near the Bedekollamath curve on NH-48. Following a police-commissioned survey, the team identified critical geometric flaws in the road and recommended urgent interventions such as speed limit enforcement, improved signage, modern crash barriers, and smart monitoring systems to prevent further mishaps.
