About
The most technically capable engineer in the room is often not the one who gets the project. It is the one who can explain it clearly, lead a team with confidence, write a proposal that gets funded, and communicate across languages, disciplines, and cultures without losing precision or credibility.
The Department of Humanities at KLS GIT exists to build exactly that kind of engineer.
English, Biology, and Kannada are not peripheral subjects in an engineering curriculum. They are the disciplines that develop the qualities no technical course can teach alone, the ability to articulate complex ideas in plain language, the scientific literacy to understand the living systems that technology increasingly intersects with, and the cultural rootedness that connects every engineer to the society they are ultimately building for.
At KLS GIT, the Humanities are taken seriously, because the engineers who will lead are not just technically excellent. They are articulate, scientifically literate, and deeply aware of the world beyond the laboratory.
Our faculty in the Humanities department comprises distinguished researchers, experienced educators, and industry experts dedicated to fostering academic excellence and professional development.
