A Gentle Introduction to Deep Learning
The session “A Gentle Introduction to Deep Learning”, organizedby the Machine Intellect Society, aimed to give students a clear understanding ofdeep learning fundamentals, applications, and career prospects. Dr. RajeevAirani explained key concepts like neural networks and learning types in anengaging manner, highlighted real-world uses, and offered career guidance. Theinteractive Q&A further enriched student understanding. The event saw strongparticipation, sparked interest in AI careers, and received excellent feedback forits clarity and relevance. It successfully achieved its goal and set the stage forfuture sessions.
Artificial Gallery – An open art competition
As part of the AI Awareness week, a creative outreachcampaign was held to spark imagination and awareness about AI. Eye-catchingposters and artworks were displayed across campus, encouraging curiosity anddiscussion. A special session at KLS Public School introduced high schoolstudents to AI concepts in an engaging way. The event aimed to promote artisticexpression, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary participation. With all 50 slotsfilled, it saw strong engagement, enhanced awareness of AI’s pros and cons, andskill development among participants. Students earned activity points for theirinvolvement, and the event successfully merged art with technology, fostering apositive cultural shift and laying the foundation for future initiatives.
Inauguration Ceremony of MIS club. EVENT
The inauguration of the Machine Intellect Society (MIS), the AI studentclub at KLS GIT, was a vibrant and inspiring event. It began with an invocationsong by Ms. Anushad, followed by the introduction of Chief Guest Mr. RamKunchur by Dr. Padma Dandanavvar. The lamp lighting ceremony marked theformal beginning, and Prof. S.P. Deshpande welcomed the gathering. Mr. KoushalKedari introduced MIS and its vision, followed by the logo unveiling. Ms. YusraPatel conducted the installation of the Board of Directors. Mr. Ram Kunchurdelivered a powerful keynote on AI’s potential. Mr. Bansidhar Patil concludedwith a vote of thanks, and the event ended with the national anthem. Snacks wereserved afterward, marking the end of a successful and memorable ceremony.
