  • Use of modern teaching aids like LCD projectors, lecture capturing system (LCS), Keyboard and mouse, writing pads, Wi-Fi enabled laptops and desktops are usually employed in classrooms and other student learning environments. Some faculties use Raspberry Pi in the classroom for presentation.
  • Department has introduced subjects like Web Programming in integrated scheme where the focus will be on project based learning.
  • The department has introduced industry supported electives i.e., Introduction to Salesforce and Robotic Process Automation. The syllabus has been designed by the companies such as Salesforce and UiPath.
  • The department has academic alliance with UiPath, GitHub and NASSCOM FutureSkills Prime and encourages students and faculty members to update their knowledge.
  • Usage of Industry standard tools like JetBrains PyCharm and GitHub is encouraged. In the lab students use JetBrains editors to type and execute programs. The GitHub is used for project submissions.
  • The Virtual Labs by IITs have been adopted in the curriculum for the subject Software Design and Modeling Laboratory. The students use Virtual labs for understanding the concepts and simulation. Later on, they apply the concepts learnt to the real world problem to provide the solution. Also in Machine Learning Laboratory few experiments have been adopted from Virtual Labs.
  • Every subject has course activity component where students have to perform the activity specified by the faculty member. The course activity can be a course project or a course seminar. The course activity makes students think outside the syllabus and align themselves to the recent trends in the Industry.
  • Every faculty member of the department invites one industry expert on the the subject he/she is teaching every semester to provide information on recent trends in the industry.
  • Every student needs to undergo internship of 8 weeks and submit report and present in front of faculty evaluation panel for assessment. The students are encouraged to do their final year project in the industry. The faculty member will be an internal guide and industry person is external guide. Sometimes Faculties also visit industry to monitor the progress of the student and interaction with the industry.
  • Online lecture delivery and webinars were organized using Google meet software.
  • Faculty members use college library, digital library, NASSCOM FutureSkills Prime, UiPath Academy and other Open Source platforms to enhance their teaching skills and knowledge.
  • The faculty members are encouraged to participate in short term courses, staff development programs and workshops on advanced topics to keep pace with the advanced level of knowledge and skills.
  • Over the past years the faculties have been participating /presenting papers in national/international conferences and publish their articles in national/international journals to enrich their knowledge.
  • Faculty members also deputed to industries for the training/internship that helps them to keep-in-pace with the recent trends and technologies of the industries and deliver the advanced content to the students.
