The Department of E&C Engineering, KLS GIT in collaboration with KPIT, floated 2 subjects namely Automotive Embedded Systems and Software Design for SDV to E&C students as electives. The main aim of these electives was to train the students as per requirements of the company. So, the syllabus for the subjects was framed by KPIT so as to train the students as per the needs of the company. A total of 113 students (74 students had enrolled for Automotive Embedded Systems and 63 for Software Design for SDV) had enrolled for these courses to reap the benefits of industry curated syllabus. KPIT is very much interested in further collaboration with the E&C department due to which a KPIT Co-Branded Lab is going to be set up in the department. This has led to increase in recruitment of the students in KPIT.

In the year 2022 the institute initiated MATLAB compus wide licenses for the college. Any student with the college domain can access the software. The current version of MATLAB being used is R2025a
The collaboration between KLSGIT and Vayavya Labs has significantly enhanced the learning experience by integrating industry-relevant topics. The course has equipped students with technical skills, industry exposure, and problem-solving abilities. Moving forward, expanding such initiatives with more advanced content and industry involvement will further bridge the academia-industry gap.

Department of ECE interacted with HARMAN International regarding the industry trend and skillsets needed for the placement. HARMAN International trained the faculty on automotive cybersecurity in their premises. Later the company shared the syllabus and has agreed to float for the 5th semester students of circuit branches.
