| Brief about the event: *Mention key topics covered in the session* | Day 1: Inaugural Ceremony (3rd Nov) The program commenced with a soulful invocation song. Dr. Jayashri B. Madalgi, HoD, MCA, delivered the welcome address and introduced the department. Prof. Swarooprani Manoor introduced the Chief Guest, Ms. Priyanka Patil, Senior SAP ABAP Consultant, Westernacher Consulting an esteemed alumna from the 2013–2016 batch. Ms. Priyanka delivered an inspiring address, sharing “The Pencil Maker Story” as a metaphor for perseverance and purpose. She also recounted her professional journey from the MCA Department to becoming a successful tech industry professional, encouraging students to dream big and make the most of their time at KLS GIT. The Presidential Remarks were delivered by Dr. Swetha Goudar, Dean, IRDC, who congratulated the department for the well-conducted program and offered valuable advice to the fresher’s. The Vote of Thanks, proposed by Prof. Abhishek N. Nazare, marked the conclusion of the formal inaugural session. The session also featured an insightful talk on “Examination and Evaluation” by Dr. Umesh Kulkarni, CoE, KLS GIT. The afternoon came alive with a Talent Show, where the fresher’s showcased their creativity, energy, and teamwork. Day 2: Academic Orientation & Training Awareness (4th Nov) The second day focused on academic and professional readiness. Prof. M. S. Emmi delivered a session on “Academics & Outcome-Based Education (OBE)”. Dr. Pijush B. Thakur and Dr. S. S. Padmannavar discussed “Projects & Internships”. Prof. Abhishek N. Nazare enlightened students on “Training & Placement” opportunities. The day concluded with a session on “Minding our Mind” by Dr. Kiran Yagain, MD, Prof & Head, Dept. of Pathology, USM-KLE International Medical Program, Belagavi emphasizing wellness and holistic development. Day 3 & 4: Beyond the Classroom (5th–6th Nov) The final phase of the induction encouraged physical fitness, mental well-being, and social responsibility. Students visited Om’s Fitness for an interactive fitness and wellness session coordinated by Prof. N. N. Anvekar and Prof. H. S. Mogare.On 6th November, the students visited Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, guided by Prof. A. N. Nazare and Prof. N. N. Anvekar, to engage in self-reviewing interaction and reflection activities.Prof. Satish Hukkeri, Training and Placement Officer, KLS GIT, conducted an engaging session highlighting the placement process, skill development roadmap, and industry expectations. He motivated students to build strong technical, communication, and problem-solving skills to excel in campus recruitment. |
